Senior Accountant
Vlassak-Verhulst is looking for a Senior Accountant who shares our passion for exclusive villa construction and sustainable growth. In this role, you will take on a key position within our financial strategy.
About the role
You will be responsible for accurate, complete, and timely accounting from A to Z, directly contributing to the further growth and professionalization of our organization. You combine precision with engagement, numbers with people, and analysis with action.
Your responsibilities include:
• Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Preparing, analyzing, and reporting financial results and annual accounts.
• Preparing VAT returns and other tax obligations, ensuring full compliance with legislation.
• Overseeing cash flow needs across the entire group and developing the cash flow policy.
• Analyzing and optimizing financial processes and internal controls, with a focus on digitalization and efficiency.
• Coordinating the annual audit and maintaining close relationships with external accountants, banks, and other institutions.
• Advising management on strategic and financial decisions, budgeting, and growth plans.
• Actively participating in a variety of financial projects.
• Managing HR administration (payroll entries, leave requests, contracts).
About you
• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting and Taxation and have at least 5 years of relevant experience (experience in the construction sector or a project-based environment is an asset).
• You have solid knowledge of accounting, taxation, and reporting.
• You are hands-on and thrive in an SME environment where short communication lines and entrepreneurship are key.
• You are tech-savvy and proficient with Microsoft Office, Exact Online, and ERP systems.
• You communicate fluently in Dutch and can manage well in French and English.
• You are accurate, analytical, and a true team player with initiative.
• You have an affinity with design, construction, or high-end services and share our passion for quality and precision.
